Actis Dato Italian jazz quartet has performed in over 350 festivals on five continents and recorded music for many national European radio broadcasts. Active since 1984 recording 10 cds, in the annual referendum among the critics of the magazine “Musica Jazz” they were placed seven times among the best Italian jazz bands. Carlo records are on “Penguin Guide to Jazz” and the Larousse Encyclopedia. He also heads Actis Band (concerts throughout Europe) the only Italian group called for the Athens Olympics (Indonesia).

The Penguin Guide to Jazz is a reference work containing an encyclopaedic directory of jazz recordings on CD which were (at the time of publication) currently available in Europe or the United States.
